Jim,
Great news !
Is it possible to purchase a copy of it ?
By the way, a similar European Reference Library (songs and calls of over
450 European and North-African birds) is available from Sittelle
(http://www.sittelle.com/cata/coffretornitho.htm) -- It is a collection of
10 audio cd's. I was put together by Jean-Claude Roch=E9 (and several
Recordists).

I am pleased to announce that the Reference Library "SONGS AND CALLS OF
NORTH AMERICAN BIRDS" is now on audio cd and has been distributed to all
of the contributors.
The collection contains over 350 species and almost 900 individual
recordings and is contained on 12 audio cd's.
It is a work in progress and new recordings are being added to
supplemental cd's that will eventually be incorporated in a new edition
of the library.
After final editing of the documentation is complete, it will be donated
to certain individuals and institutions.
I wish to thank the following Recordists for their generous
contributions: Walt Anderson of Prescott, Brian Boldt of Milwaukee, WI,
Greg Clark of Chandler, AZ, Geoff Keller of North Bend, OR, Richard Peet
of Golden Valley, MN, Steve Pelikan of Cincinnati, OH, and Doug Von
Gausig of Clarkdale, AZ.
I am particularly indebted to Professor Walt Anderson of Prescott
College, who has generously donated his editorial expertise to this work
and who narrated the species' names.
