Yes, if you have a foam around the mic you will get a fast warning by the
smoke. No problem.
It is worse when you put the telinga laying on the ground, facing up. You
might even be asleep when the sun moves exactly into focus.

But don't lay it on the ground facing down, just to prevent this!! Then you
might soon have the dish full of condensation, which also is a danger to the
mic.
