More details are emerging about HHB's Portadrive field recorder, announced at this year's NAB conference. Features include: -- 2.5" hard disc recording medium in removable shock mounting (Toshiba recently announced the first 60GB 2.5" drive); -- Docking chassis lets you insert the hard disc into a PC for high speed data transfers; -- 10 second pre-record buffer; -- minimum 2 hour operation on internal battery; -- record 8 simultaneous tracks uncompressed 24bit/96kHz audio; -- M/S decoding on input and output if you desire; -- 6 to 2 headphone mixing for field monitoring; Delivery is still scheduled for early 2003, price estimated at $10K. http://www.hhbusa.com/portadrive/index.html ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
