To all Telinga users:

At last:

2 x 2SK117BL (from a certain batch) - connected in parallel - give 10 to 13
mA with charging voltage from min. 8,2v to at least 40v. This new design is
introduced on all new Telingas from today.

1/ It means that one can charge the internal battery from any "9-volt" NiCad
or NiMHy battery, also rechargeable ones. It gives a safer charging, as one
knows that the internal accu gets fully charged even if the charge battery
is a little low. (Below 8,2v)

2/It also means that one can charge the internal accu from any DC-adaptor
giving 8,2 to 40v, providing one checks the polarity.

3/ Telinga owners on the list can get the two transistors for 15 dollars
incl. shipping. The modification is not difficult to do, but you need some
experience of soldering electronic components as transistors etc.

Best wishes,

Klas.
