Hi all

When I happen to work late and drive home at twilight I often see a few
Grey-headed Flying-foxes flying high over the road but what I saw this
evening at the traffic lights was at least 300 together (in very close
proximity to each other) fly over Obriens Rd in Northmead. There may
been much more but as this is a busy road I could not just stand there
and count. I don't see such a large number in close proximity to each
other unless they are flying out from a roosting colony. Does anyone
know what would be the closest roosting colony to Northmead in Sydney?

I wonder what the ultimate impact would be from the removal of fig trees
from a few of Sydney's parks on these bats.

Regards

Edwin
