Hi John,
Squirel Gliders, both Bandicoots and both Pademelons are pretty easy to
find round O'Reilly's lodge in Lamington. Any of the trails around the
forest there are good for all the species other than one of the Pademelons
(red legged?) which you occassionaly see a few kms further down the
mountain. O'Reilly's is one of the best places in Australia for mammals I
reckon.
You might also see little red and black flying foxes there (and there's a
massive colony of Blacks on Indrophilly island)
The Antechinus species up there is actually the Subtropical Antechinus (a
recent split) and they are also pretty common around O'Reillys as are
Commmon Planigales (though tricky things to spotlight).
If you can afford to spend a night at the lodge then the O'Reilly's
themselves should be able to give you lots of info on precisely where to
look - they have a mammal week every January and are pretty clued up on
where to find stuff.
good luck
