Good morning Geoffrey:

I am just starting to dispose of my library, and thought that some books may be of interest to members of COG, before I offer them to secondhand dealers. One of the first two items that I propose to sell is a very fine, as new complete set of The Birds of Africa volumes 1 - 8. Volume 8 is the key volume in the set because it was published by  Christopher Helm long after Academic Press had published Volumes 1 - 7. It is the largest, scarcest  and most expensive volume, and is devoted to the fascinating birds of the Malagasy Region. The price is $375, which is about one-third of the current market price. The second item is a very fine, as new copy of  Bird Families of the World published jointly by Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology and Lynx Edicions. The price for this book is $55.

I am not a member of COG, so would you be willing to put a note on the chatboard that these books are available, and if they are of interest any member then I can be contacted at (02)62425191 for inspection and pickup. This would be very much appreciated. If there is no interest then I shall offer them to dealers.

Many thanks indeed for your help and very best regards,

Joe
