Looks like one of last years young so not surprised it is by itself at this time of year when the local Magpies are already nesting.

This seems to be quite a young magpie to be out on its own.  Photo taken about a week ago.  Its eyebrow sort of made it look like a cross between a magpie and a magpie lark.  It was very sweet.
