My friend and I walked the Molonglo river today south of the sewerage works.
She saw a parrot with a turquoise wing in some small redgums at the entrance to the reserve downhill from Shepherds. I sent her links to the Torquise Parrot and a Swift Parrot from Canberra Birds webpage. She then said maybe a Swift Parrot.
So if anyone is out that way perhaps keep a look out.
The small grove of wattles and regenerating eucalypts is going to be bulldozed for a couple of electricity towers, which is in addition to the trees that went for the Stockdill drive substation and the trees that will be bulldozed for the big
battery. Just sayin’.
