Today, there has been a new release of HANZAB (see link for description of HANZAB).

The main changes are:

  • AviList errata has been applied.
  • A sample page has been added to allow people to see what an entry looks like without registering.
  • The Global Status in the masthead has been changed to status by distribution. The regions where the species has been recorded (Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, Extralimital) and the conservation statuses in each region has been added to the global status.
  • Search for text within entries (option at the end of the list when searching for entries using the search at the top of the screen ) has been significantly expanded, allowing sort order (relevance, title, reverse English name, scientific name and taxonomic sequence) and restricting the scope of the search. As well, the search term is highlighted in the search results and the HANZAB entry.
  • The HANZAB colour image has been added to over 100 species.

See Release Notes for other changes.
