I was watching a young Freckled Duck from the Cyngus hide at Jerra this morning. It suddenly occurred to me that its shape was exactly that of the archetypal bath duck in plastic. Though of course bath ducks are yellow, not freckled.

I doubt the person who first designed a bath duck had ever seen a Feckled Duck.
