2026 Honeyeater survey- a call for volunteers

The 2026 Honeyeater Survey has been run each Saturday since March 14th. For the four surveys four sites have been surveyed.

From April 11 the aim is to survey nine sites to replicate the survey conducted in 2025. To survey nine sites required a minimum of 18 volunteers. Unfortunately for the survey of 11 April I have 16 volunteers, for 18 April 12 volunteers and for 25 April 14 volunteers. I  AM THEREFORE CALLING OUT FOR ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS for the next three surveys.

Those who have volunteered for the next three surveys have surveyed previously so I am not after 'experts' but rather those who may not feel confident in bird id but would like to improve their id skills. If  interested, please contact me. Further details of the survey can be found on the Canberra Birds web site

For those who have volunteered for the 11 April survey I will be posting details of teams and locations tomorrow evening.
