Honeyeaters on the move

Hi all,

I observed Yellow-faced Honeyeaters on migration this morning, at the end of Bracks Hole Road overlooking the Cotter. 

While admiring the lovely view over the water around 9.00 am, a fairly steady stream of honeyeaters started to fly through.  Initially in small numbers, later increasing to groups of 20 or so, they gathered in larger groups in a stand of eucalypts at the edge of the dam, before flying over the water. 

Around 200 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters moved through in about half an hour. I heard a few White-naped Honeyeaters and a Noisy Friarbird among them. Two small groups of Silvereyes were also flying with them.

The honeyeater surveyors may have more birds to count on the upcoming weekends!
