There is very little to go on. I would first suggest a group of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters. As in, I think it sounds like their migration call. It could
just as easily be lots of other things, but I don’t think you need to go to something so odd as
a magpie practicing its mimicry.
If was that, surely you could see it. If you want to make it into anything exotic, sorry there is not sufficient evidence to do that.
