Those who’ve enjoyed stays with COG at the Green Cape cottages will be interested to know that the old lighthouse has been recommissioned. The metal lattice tower reached the end of its life and has been decommissioned. the old lighthouse is
now functioning again with a new light but using the old lens, still floating in its mercury bath.
There’s a story about it on the ABC news site.
