This issue celebrates 57 years and 50 volumes of reporting research, bird observations and reflections on the birdlife of the Canberra region.

It comprises six themes that reflect the nature and scope of research published in CBN during this period:
  1. Canberra Bird Notes and Canberra birding, 1968-2025
  2. Reporting on the status of birds in the Canberra region
  3. Monitoring our birds
  4. Conservation, including sections on 'Iconic threatened species': the Little Eagle, Gang-gang Cockatoo and the Superb Parrot
  5. Bird movements in the A.C.T.
  6. Birds of our region - biology, behaviour and breeding
We hope readers find much to interest them in this issue.

Members who have requested a printed copy will receive it in the post in the coming week or two.

Julie Hotchin, Michael Lenz and Kevin Windle
Editors, CBN 50.2
