Dear Canberra Birds

 

Apologies for contacting you out of the blue. My name is Simon Papps and I am Natural History Book publisher at New Holland Publishers. The company is based in Sydney, although I live in the UK, and we publish hundreds of natural history titles.

 

We are currently looking to extend our new 'City Wildlife Guides' series (the first title will be Reptiles of Sydney, due out in early 2026) with a title covering Birds of Canberra. Basically it will be a mini field guide on the subject with about 90 pages.

 

I wondered if you might be able to recommend a knowledgeable local birder, please - possibly someone who also takes a few photos, but this is by no means essential - who might be a wiling and able author for such a book?

 

Any suggestions would be very welcome.
