I see a lot of weird animal videos on youtube and can easily tell that a lot is fake (AI, better known as Actual Idiocy). There is also a lot of good stuff. One guy in USA does fantastic filming of Peregrine Falcons, Osprey, Bald Eagle, kingfishers and a lot of other stuff…… This one as linked below is an odd one that just came up. It sort of brings to mind the hybrid New Holland / White-cheeked we have at JW. But this is just as strange. This sort of thing raises the possibility of people creating false records. Not that anyone in COG would do that………

This is very strange. There are a range of different species here or some odd mixes. I think there is some quite good bits of AI in mixing some features. Some of the birds shown do not match any actual species but are mixes of head patterns, amount of yellow on the wings, inventing glossy blue where it doesn’t exist, some disjointed bit of movement, etc  and body streaks. Not New Holland Honeyeaters. The soundtrack is of Regent Honeyeater songs, including some bits of mimicry.
