Hi all
Gang-gang Cockatoos put on some excellent displays for the folks attending the Birding for Beginners outings at the botanic gardens yesterday and today. Yesterday we watched a male working around a hollow entrance about half way up the large Mountain Ash on the side of the Tasmania gully, easily visible from the pond. Two birds flew down and drank from the small pool in the rocks just below the pond, affording great views. During today’s outing, we stood near that same pool watching some gang-gangs feeding in the casuarinas when a female flew down and landed on a participant‘s head briefly before flying further down to the water for a drink. Couldn’t get the grin off this fellow’s face! Thanks to Christine for the photo. Anthony This email and any files transmitted with it may contain confidential information.
