Rosella nest box activity

Hi
I have installed a rosella nest box and last year had a pair of Eastern 
rosellas occupy the box.
This year a pair of Crimson rosellas nested. We have seen the Easterns return 
and on occasion have seen the female enter the box.
While the Crimsons are obviously nesting and will chase the Easterns away, the 
Easterns still turn up and will enter if no one is there.

Is this common behaviour and will the Eastern interfere with the eggs or what 
happens?
