Good afternoon members

I am currently putting together the field trip programme for the first half of 2026 and am looking for leaders and venues.  Apart from a few trips that we run every year, to keep the programme fresh, I try not to repeat trips for 2 or preferably 3 years. To give you some ideas, go to https://canberrabirds.org.au/past-events/  and look at trips from before 2023.  You can then check 2023-25 to see that they have not been done in those years. Of course, I am always happy to hear about new places, especially if you have access to private property.  Or, you may like to offer an outing to the southern part of Namadgi NP, an area that we tend to neglect as it requires a day outing.

If you would like to offer a longer trip (weekend, long weekend, including Easter, or even longer), I would also love to hear from you.

If you are willing to lead a trip, or would like to discuss your ideas, please contact me at m("gmail.com","smlashko");" style="color:rgb(5,99,193);text-decoration:underline">.  Note that you do not have to be an experienced birder to lead a trip, as there are always plenty of experienced birders to help out.

Many thanks

Sue Lashko
