Hi Sue
Your friend can be comfortable, as her request is not at all out of left field. Canberra Birds/COG gets very regular requests to run a stall or provide a speaker at community events. We tend to do up to a dozen such events each year. We have a kit of promotional materials, banner, posters and a nest and feather collection.
However, the timing is very short so it may be fairly unlikely we would be able to slot in a stall at such short notice. But I reply to the Chatline as perhaps some of our valiant members who enjoy these rewarding community events might like to put up their hand.  Bill Graham coordinates these events so they could contact him directly on

Dear Sue

This is a bit left of field, but I was wondering if you have  any local friends who would be willing to talk to Curtin locals about birds on the morning of
 Saturday 11th October  ?

The Curtin Trees and Gardens Group and the Curtin Residents Association are organising a Spring Fair for that morning and it would be lovely to have a bird expert there to help locals with their knowledge of local birds. An information stall would be wonderful.

The Spring Fair will be held in the Plaza at Curtin Shops.

Thank you for any input -- we are trying to fill up the square with all appropriate areas of interest. We will have stalls selling plants and a bookstall with gardening books etc.

Many thanks
regards
Sylvia
