This old remnant Eucalyptus Blakelyi on the corner of Basedow and Goode streets Torrens has been severely canopy reduced in the last six months and has substantial hollows used by birds.

I don’t know which species have been nesting.

One of the hollows has had a significant bee nest.

Thanks Michael - the fledglings are likely from last year and I expect will shortly move away from parents. Nesting starts in earnest by the end of October but we are yet to locate a nest tree in the Torrens area - so very interested in any observed activity in and around a tree hollow

Observed a mother and two fledglings in Liquidamber styraciflua tree in front yard. Mother seemed to be instructing young in location of food tree.

Regularly observe two pairs either in the Italian Cypress, the Liquidamber or the Lebanese Cedar on Darke Street.
