This reply is to Alison's message, not Lia's.
With nothing to indicate size (such as a ruler or comparison with a known
size thing like a mobile phone or a hand), this is really difficult. The
sturdy and long primary feathers suggest a good flier, like a pigeon. The
chestnut coloured body feathers are hard to match to a native bird. Without
going too far to any obscure guesses, my first guess would be a brown Rock
Dove, aka Feral Pigeon (if the size is right).
