OK, I swear there was a large branch missing from the low shrub. It looked a lot more open than it had previously. I guess I was wrong. Glad to hear that the bird is fine in
one of the other roosts.

The bird is still present ( Logged in today on eBird by me for the 51st time over the last 53 days ) and uses 3 roosts. The most common roost branch it likes, and the one I assume you are talking about was still there this morning so not
sure what you mean that it has been removed?

After being around for quite a while, the Boobook which was roosting at Jerrabomberra Wetlands seems to have moved on. More disturbing, it seems that
the branch which it was roosting on has been removed. The same thing happened when it was in a casuarina. What is going on here? Is this people who hate owls, or is it something else – like people breaking the trees in their zeal to get a photo? Either way,
it’s upsetting. I just don’t believe that this is a coincidence.
The owl has probably moved to somewhere warmer, but I wish people would leave animals alone. Take only photos, leave only footprints. Minimise your
impact on nature.
