Hello Michael,

These are tail feathers from a female or juvenile Koel. The curved bars are distinctive for them. A bit late and they appear to be in good condition.

Found these feathers recently at West Belconnen Pond. The longest (found) tail feather is 21 cm.

I would appreciate any suggestions for species.

Many thanks,

Michael Lenz
