Yes I did read it this morning and thought how good it would be if the ACT Government would embrace Birding in Canberra.

The Fyshwick Treatment plant came to mind, such an asset going to waste due to who knows why they don't open it up to Birders like they do in the huge Werribee Treatment Plant. At the very least they could put up a Bird Hide like the excellent one they constructed at Dubbo Treatment Plant ( Attached pic ) .
