I saw my first young on Dairy Road on 3/1. Yesterday I was alerted by the begging calls of one at my place in Symonston. The Wattlebirds gave it a large Mantis and it nearly ate it but spat it out in the last seconds. As I do every Year I got
some Watermelon for the Wattlebirds to feed it and have been watching them today taking advantage of this, it gives them a bit of a break. Some pics on my FlicKr for those interested. https://www.flickr.com/photos/rawshorty/
