A chidren’s story about why you need to be careful with Airbnb

 

Back in mid 2024, the ibis on their log were a bit nervous about letting it on Airbnb but decided it would be all right if Claude Cormorant was left in charge.  They specified a strict limit of 20 waterbirds. When Claude checked the log hotspot on eBird on 28 December he found he was providing accommodation for at least 11 Eurasian Coots, 8 Grey Teal, 4 Australasian Shovelers and 9 Little Black Cormorants.  He is quite worried about what might happen next, particularly if more uninvited waterbirds arrive - or the ibis return unexpectedly.
