Dear members
- The Christmas BBQ is on next Wed 11 Dec. Details will be in Dec Gang-gang but it is not yet on the website. I will be shopping for supplies next week and to avoid over-buying, we are asking that you register at
by this Friday 6 Dec. Please include the number attending and also whether
you are a vegetarian. As always, the sausages will be gluten-free.
- There are 2 field trips next year which require early registration, one a camping trip in Feb where campsites need to be booked well in advance, and the other a pelagic weekend, which is filling fast. Details are below:
Sunday 23 to Friday 28 February – Crowdy Bay NP – camping
Protecting a pristine sweep of coastline between Port Macquarie and Taree, Crowdy Bay National Park is a beautiful coastal park. Habitat includes coastal heath, swamp and woodland
which harbours some fantastic species such as Grass Owl, Tawny-crowned Honeyeater, King Quail, White-cheeked Honeyeater, Southern Emu-wren, Eastern Ground Parrot and potentially Koala. We will be camping at Kylies Beach National Park Campground. Contact
Kathy and John on walter.goldie

for further information and to book your place. Please provide your name and mobile number, and the name and mobile number of an emergency contact.

Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March 2025 - Eden pelagics
I have booked a pelagic weekend for Sat 22 and Sun 23 March 2025, departing from Eden and from 7am to approx 3pm each day. Cost will be about $170 but no payment is required at this stage. To give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate,
at this stage you may register for ONE DAY ONLY. If the boat is not filled on both days, I will offer a second day to those who are interested(in order of registration).
At this stage, if you wish to register, I require the following information (please reply by numbering 1 to 4 and providing your answers):
- Name and mobile number
- Name and number of an emergency contact
- Which day do you wish to register for? Sat 22 or Sun 23 or don't mind
- Would you like to express an interest in a second day if it becomes available? yes
or no.
