Hi All,
My first every Cicadabird on the mountain, uphill from the more eastern
of the two dams off the blue metal road (on the way to the Majura
Pines). A female/immature-report on ebird.
Also one of the two Dollarbirds which first showed up about 10 days ago,
and the leaden flycatchers are still singing having been here for about
6 weeks. No sacred kingfishers today but they are also at least
attempting nesting, a pair having been present for also about 6 weeks.
On a different note, the Pacific Heron that has been hanging around the
headwaters of Sullivan's Creek in Nada Madjung, is still there after ~3
weeks. The very first time I saw a pair of them, but I have only seen a
single individual since-maybe they are attempting to nest nearby?
cheers,
Peter
