Dear members
I am sure that those of you who enjoy attending COG field trips will join me in thanking the members who have volunteered to lead outings this year. There are those who volunteer year after year, as well as several newer members who have led very successful
trips this year. Without these people, our interesting and varied field trip programme would not be possible.
Now it is time to think about the first half of 2025. Attached is a document with a few ideas but I am very happy to hear about other places, near and far. We have had a number of very productive visits to private properties this year, so if you have,
or know of someone who has, a "birdy" private property, I would love to hear from you. Remember, you do not need to be an expert birder to lead a trip as there are always experienced birders to help out or to co-lead. I will provide you with a copy of leaders'
guidelines, a step-by-step guide to help you.
Please study the attached list and consider leading a trip in 2024.
With thanks
Sue Lashko
