Hi Everyone,

The DA for the Stage 2 upgrade of Stockdill Drive, Pro Hart Avenue and Drake Brockman Drive upgrade is currently being assessed.  The project in its entirety will involve the removal of a significant number of mature habitat trees.  I am trying to raise awareness of this issue to see if the proposal can be amended to prevent the removal of the trees.  Is this something that COG would also be concerned about? 

The area in question (and southwards) hosts large numbers of Superb Parrots.  We certainly see groups of 10 or more superb parrots feeding in Higgins.  I am also concerned about the disruption of the tree corridor for the small birds that traverse Higgins from Kama/The Pinnacle through to Umbagong.  If we had more COG members in Higgins, we might have more sightings to inform planning.
