Speaking with Rangers Miriam and Chris today at the Wetlands, it seems there have been multiple instances of vandalism over the last week or so. This has occurred at the hides as well as in other parts of the Reserve, and is mainly occurring
overnight. If visitors find evidence of vandalism and wish to report it, the Rangers advise that the most effective place to report it is to Crimestoppers.
Hopefully the vandalism will be short-lived. And to reassure Chatline subscribers, I have visited the Wetlands several times in the last few days and continue to feel safe and comfortable there (and I even saw the Little Egret currently in residence).
