Canberra Birds (COG) is currently preparing a response to this matter, but we also forward the following, as individuals may also like to submit comments. As Margie Roberts and Tony Auhl of the Friend of Callum Brae say in their email below, having
comments from members of Canberra Birds would add a lot of weight to the application.

Thank you for agreeing to advertise the need to make comments on the EPBC portal, via the Canberra Birds chat.
Pamela Collett and I both made separate Reconsideration requests against the 2019-8595 approval and both received "Valid" replies.

Unfortunately the deadline for comments is very close: 21 August. Birdwatchers probably know infinitely more about this than we do, but to help supporters who have not followed the crematorium proposal I have attached a summary of possible points to make, divided into two sections: (A) New information on protected species (Swift parrots, Gang-gangs and other birds) (B) Changes in Circumstances (path into Callum Brae, future addition of Caretaker's cottage, new federal listing of the Gang-gangs as endangered etc) Having comments from members of Canberra Birds would add a lot of weight to our application! Thank you so much, Neil. Margie Roberts and Tony Auhl (0403016363) and (0419633963)
