Today, while observing a late brood of Eurasian Coots at Gungahlin Cemetery (first reported by Zebedee Muller on 3 July 2024), a large flock of Straw-necked Ibises appeared around midday. Birds circled for a little while over the area. I had estimated
it at 300 birds. A count from a photo (with most but not all the birds) gave 380. I have to assume there were at least 400 birds in this flock (https://ebird.org/checklist/S185563435).
