Ropbin Hide and Michael Lenz carried out the winter survey on 26 June at 9 sites on the lower eastern slopes of Mt Ainslie. Conditions were quite pleasant with no frost over night and light wind.

The most common species were Noisy Miner (8 sites), Spotted Pardalote (7) and Crimson Rosella (6). Species numbers ranged from 1 to 8 per site. Overall activity at sites was rather low.

We encountered 2 mixed feeding flocks (one outside, one at a site).

Birds of note included  2 Varied Sittellas, 1 Speckled Warbler, 20 Welcome Swallows, 31 Australian King Parrots and 2 Fan-tailed Cuckoos (together).

20 species were recorded at sites, another 16 outside.
