The usual access to Namarag across Butters Bridge is closed indefinitely because of construction work. The only access is from a sealed carpark on Thancoupie Cr in Whitlam. There is a fenced track on lower side of the carpark which takes you
the short distance from Whitlam to the Namarag entry near the nature play area. Despite the constant noise of the earth-moving equipment on the now bare hillside at the far end of Butters Bridge and in Denman Prospect across the river, I managed to find over
40 species in the fog this morning.
