There was a Rufous Fantail in a MFF in the casuarinas on the way up Mt Majura Road this morning around 9am. Interestingly there were two Grey Fantails with this flock and the RF was interacting with them in the same way they were interacting
with each other (ie not antagonistically). Also of interest was the fact that it, like the GFs, was feeding in the tops of the casuarinas, not restricting itself to the lower parts of the vegetation as they do in the wet forests.
