Hi all
Recording bird calls is one of my big things as a birder, and I upload my recordings to eBird (200 species and counting).  For quite a few years I have used the RecForge app to record using my android phone. This has given a much better result than using the onboard microphone on the phone. I like using the phone to record as it is light, easy and cheap.
RecForge recently did an upgrade which has made the app fairly useless - checking Google Play feedback, I am not the only one who has found the upgrade to be a big step backward.
There are many recording apps available in Google Play - rather than installing each one to try them out, does anyone have any recommendations as to good apps for recording bird calls on an Android phone.
Kim
