Subject: COG/Canberra Birds meetings in 2024 - Quiz Night 10 January
Before everyone goes away on their Christmas/New Year holidays I would like to remind you all that COG/Canberra Bird meetings start again early in January 2024, which this time will be a little different, a Quiz Night for everyone to enjoy.
Details are below:
Quizmaster Mark Clayton tells me that he has tested out a good range of questions, and assures me that all levels of birders will be able to participate.
While prior registration is not compulsory Mark has asked that if you are intending to come could you please let him know on
m("bigpond.com","chollop7");">
so he will have a reasonable idea of the likely numbers.
The rest of the program for 2024 is starting to become clearer but there are still opportunities for further offers to speak or suggestions of possible topics. In respect of the latter I have had a special request for the Thornbills as
Bird of the Month, if there anyone who is happy to do so I would be very grateful if you would please contact me.
Finally many thanks to all members and guests who attended COG/Canberra Bird meetings in 2023, and a special thanks to all who gave presentations. Attending meetings has always played a very important part of the COG/Canberra Birds activities
in the nearly 46 years I have been a member, and it is very important that this continues.
