As far as I’m aware the first report this season for one of the above has been Peter Morris’ “Large young bird begging noisily for food from adult Red Wattlebird” at the  Jerrabomberra Wetlands NR paddocks on 12 DecemberDoes anyone have any other records?

Koels are still very active around my local area (and other areas based on conversations at last night’s COG Christmas BBQ), with males and females noisily flying around calling and chasing each other, so I’m not expecting to report my first fledgling for some time.
