It has been pointed out to me that the nest appears too big and made of too large twigs &c for BFHE. People have suggested either a Magpie or Currawong nest. However it was only 5 metres off the ground which seems quite low down for either sp.

There is also the possibility that the BFHE were reusing an old nest.... but we will never know as the immature is already living away from the nest.

I relocated the BFHEs in Hughes today, about 75 meters nearer to Kent Street than the area I'd seen them in before. There were the two adults and the immature as before, and as I was watching them I spotted what I think is their nest (see photo). Is this what the nest in Commonwealth Park in October 22 looked like?

Worthy of note is that less than twenty metres from the nest (northwards, in a back yard in Jensen Street) is a Silky Oak (a tree Grevillea), that has been flowering for a couple of months now and may have been the determining factor that led the pair to build the nest where they did.

Also sending a picture of one of the adults I took a couple of days ago. I see it has caught a cicada, though I haven't heard any this year!
