I sent the below to the list on 15 Nov... I'm very glad to have been proved wrong. I hadn't seen any BFHs in the area between then and now, but this morning, in exactly the same place, I saw two adults and one immature. So they must have bred in the area and occasionally visit these trees. No sign of any aggression from the Noisy Miners, who were also present. JL

When I checked back after I had finished about 20 minutes later I couldn't relocate them. I don't think they would be inclined to linger in that spot as the Noisy Miners are very militant.
