Good morning COG members and chat line subscribers,

Libby Robin, Emeritus Professor from the Frank Fenner School of Environment and Society at the ANU, is the confirmed speaker after COG’s AGM on 8 November.

She will be covering stories from her latest book “What Birdo is That? A Field Guide to Bird People” which include quite a few about COG.

The publishers, Melbourne University Publishing (MUP), has offered COG a significant discount from the RRP of $40 if we order copies of this book for the membership through them.

As noted in the MUP’s web site https://www.mup.com.au/books/what-birdo-is-that-paperback-softback this field guide to Australia's bird-people provides a basis for understanding the complex relationship between people and birds in a land of extremes at the forefront of changing climate and habitats.

If you wish to purchase this book through COG for around $32 (the final price will be determined once the size of the order is clear) could you please let me know?

Many thanks

Jack Holland
