Dependent on suitable weather and fuel moisture conditions, ACT Parks and Conservation will look to implement one small ecological burn tomorrow, Tuesday the 8th of August:

Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve: UBD Map 60, C3. Handy Reference 2 Dairy Rd Fyshwick;-35.315306 S, 149.161486 E

Reason for Burn

Ecological outcomes. To understand the best practice for reducing phragmites fuel load, and to understand how it responds to a cool burn before new shoots sprout in spring. To encourage native sedge growth, other native grasses and reeds, decrease weeds in the plot of reeds.
