There is a male Northern Shoveller that seems to have got stuck in Australia. It was seen at Leeton and elsewhere in the Riverina, then turned up at Jerrabomberra a few years ago. This might be the same bird.

- Comments: "Medium sized duck with chestnut flanks, a white chest, green
head and dark wings. Resting amongst other waterfowl on the shoreline
closest to the layby with several aust Shovelors within a few metres of it,
allowing for direct comparison. Overall, the bird in question appeared
glossier than the aust shovelers and had a striking white chest unlike any
local duck. Bizarrely, the duck did not have a visible white flank patch,
but I can't think of any other species that matched the appearance of this
bird, notably the white chest. I watched it for a few minutes, before moving
on because it wasn't moving and I wasn't getting any better a view. Its head
stayed tucked in the entire time. See photos, which don't show the head
colour but do illustrate the white colouration on the chest. I am not at all
sure about the id, so am open to alternative suggestions."
