My wife and I went for a stroll around Nerang Pond this afternoon and I spotted something a bit unusual amongst a noisy kerfuffle of Noisy Miners. Closer inspection revealed at least two Blue-faced Honeyeaters at the centre of the fuss. This was in trees just behind to the largely unused mini-ampitheatre near the Castle playground.
Perhaps this species is becoming more common hereabouts given the number of reports in recent years, but I haven’t seen them in Canberra before this.
