Not a usual thing for this line but I feel the wish to advise anyway. Maria Lukacs my long term friend over several years, up until several years ago and previous COG member, has died last Thursday after a short (five months) cancer diagnosis.
Maria and I did run a COG outing or two out at Jerrabomberra and then Googong (at least these are the ones I remember). Maria also some years ago for several years, would be at the door at COG meetings for all the monthly meetings, to sell book raffle tickets.
Maria took the photo of me for the back cover of The GBS Report. Maria loved birds, travelling outdoors, camping, books, contributing extensively to voluntary projects and reading and writing poetry.
