Raises a few questions, John.  (The ytbcs that I hear go ‘squay-eeel’.)

Subject: [Canberrabirds] YTBC and Superb Parrots playing?

This morning at around 8.30am I was walking from Hughes Oval up towards Hughes Primary School when I heard the 'plee-erk' call of a Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo. I looked north over the roofs of houses and saw a solitary YTBC calling and flying and ahead of it was a group of around 12 Superb Parrots flying. The YTBC seemed to be following the group and they didn't seem to be flying as fast as they normally fly. They disappeared behind some trees, and when they emerged the YTBC was in the middle of the group of Superbs, which seemed to be deliberately accompanying it.

Were these parrots just playing with each other?
